Cranberry Apple Sauce

2 large or 3 small apples peeled, cored, and cut into pieces (I like Honey Crisp or Jonagold)

1 navel orange peeled and cut into pieces (leave some of the pith on – it’s good for you!)

2 cups fresh raw cranberries

1 cup of raisins, soaked for at least an hour

4 tbsp maple syrup

½ tsp cinnamon

½ tsp ginger

¼ tsp ground cloves

Place the cranberries and apples in food processor and process until combined.  Add rest of ingredients and process again until all is combined.

I love apple sauce and this recipe is perfect for this time of year – I serve it in place of cranberry sauce at Thanksgiving!
